Gas Vs Electric
Gas vs Electric Scooters, Motorcycles and Mopeds.

Gas bike will have a gas engine with gears and a clutch to shift the speeds of the bike and require some learning to know how to ride the bike for beginners.
Gas engine’s needs more maintenance to keep them running like oil changes and clutch plates when they wear out and because of the cheap gas we now have with ethanol in it will cause the carburetor to clog from the old gas deposits that built up over time Especially if you let your bike sit over the winter months without removing the gas so in the spring time, you will have to empty out the carburetor and clean out the gunk to get it to start again.

Electric bikes have an electric hub motor or a mid drive motor and require no experience to ride because an electric bike have no gears or clutch that can wear out or any experience to shift gears. A electric bike have gear modes that you change gear speeds by switching a knob from gear 1,2,3. To change the speeds.

                                                                                                          Pros and Cons

Pros - Gas:  -Unlimited range, as long as you have a gas station that you can fill up and keep riding all day long.
-Price: A gas bike is cheaper then an electric bike.
-Speed: A gas bike can go very fast depending on the CC’s of the engine.

Cons - Gas:  -Gas smells so you can’t keep the bike indoors.
                 -Repairs can be costly.
-Need more maintenance like oil changes and clutch plates replacements.
-Unable to ride in some trails that have a Noise Ordinance.
-Carburetors will need cleaning time to time.

Pros- Electric: -Low to no maintenance. Because an electric bike don’t have all the moving parts of a gas bike, the maintenance is low to no maintenance except
for a flat tire that’s not exempt from anything with a tire.
-You can keep your bike in a room or work place because their is no odors to an electric bike.
-Noise, electric bikes are quite, no noise so you can’t keep ride on trails that have noise ordinances.
-In some states electric bikes don’t require license or registration depending on the bike size.

Cons-Electric:  -Range, an electric scooters range depends on the battery option that’s in the bike so you have limitations on how far you can go without needing
                       a charge
-Cost, an electric bike will cost more then a gas bike.

So when choosing an electric bike, make sure you do your research on the electric bike if you are riding long distances to make sure you can reach your destination before needing to charge.
